- *Not only are we in a Financial Recession but we are also in a Health Recession!
- *Cancer rates are escalating to 1/3 people
- *Cardiovascular Disease is responsible for 58% of all deaths in Canada ( 2005)
- *Diabetes-one in every third child born after 2001 will develop Diabetes
- *Lifestyle Diseases such as Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease and Diabetes are increasing at an alarming rate yet for every dollar spent on lifestyle disease treatment only four cents is spent on prevention.
- *The incidence of obesity among Canadian children is close to 20% and still increasing every year.
- *Kids Wellness Issues : ADD, stress, digestive concerns, posture, sleep, studying effectively, asthma, allergies, eczema
- *We need to work on teaching our youth how to prevent disease and remain in wellness
